Eisenhower Pool is an indoor heated aquatic facility that is available for year round fun and fitness. It has two pools: The Lap Pool is a 25-yard, six-lane pool and a Dive Well that has 2 one-meter (low) boards. Eisenhower is especially conducive for education and competitive purposes with its underwater lights and observation windows.

Eisenhower Pool is located at 2351 E. Cornell (next to Southeast High School off of Taylor Avenue).

*Children 10 and under must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult.

Family Swim Sessions are available on Sundays from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m and Fridays from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Party Rental during Family Swim – $10.00 per table in concession area. Please call for a reservation.

SWIM CLASSES

Eisenhower offers 3 types of lessons: Private (1 student per instructor; minimum age 2), semi-private (3 students per instructor; minimum age 3), and group (5 students per instructor; minimum age 5). Fees will vary depending on the length of a session.

Our early Spring Learn-to-Swim lessons are Semi Private, run on Saturday mornings for 6 or 8 weeks with two ½ hour time slots to choose from. The cost is $50.00 per session. For further information call 525-8847.

Summer learn-to-swim schedule: The swim lesson program is conducted Monday through Thursday for two week sessions, with the first session beginning the second Monday after school is out. Lessons are offered as follows:

Winter Swim Lessons are now available Thursday evenings (Semi-Private) and Sunday afternoons (Private & Semi-Private). Please call the office (525-8847) for more information.

Learn to Dive

The Springfield Park District has revived its aquatic program called "Learn to Dive." It is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. at Eisenhower Pool under the guidance of Bob Milnes; a former Springfield High School Swimming & Diving Coach and veteran diving teacher of 40 years. While in the course, students will receive instruction in the basic fundamentals of 11 different dives.

The program will have a class maximum of eight (8) participants. The first eight participants to register will ensure a spot in the class. A waiting list will be developed for future students who would like to participate.

COMPETITIVE SWIM TEAM

If you are an aspiring competitive swimmer, the Springfield Park District and the SUSA Booster Club offer you the chance to be a member of our nationally ranked swim team. It is a professionally coached competitive program that can begin with 5 year olds and continue through to a senior national level swimming. Visit our website at http://susa.usswim.net. Aqua Aerobic Classes

Eisenhower Pool offers Aqua Aerobic classes designed to improve cardiovascular conditioning, stretching and muscle toning. Classes will be instructed by Normajean Sanders, an experienced instructor of 16 years. To register for this program please visit the Eisenhower Pool.

Eisenhower Pool can be rented for private parties. Rental fees are based on the number in your group.
