Disc Golf was created in the 1970’s by “Steady Ed” Headrick, who has designed over 200 courses nation wide. The phenomenon was an instant hit in the state of California and has now grown with more than 390 PDGA sanctioned tournaments nation wide and its own World Championship Tournament. The courses consist of 9 or 18 holes with tees and ‘holes'. The ‘hole’ is a pole with chains hanging down into a basket in which the disc must fall into.
