Patch and freestyle sessions are held every morning and afternoon during the week and mornings on the weekends. These sessions are not for beginner skaters but for advanced figure skaters looking for practice ice or private lessons. Discount passes are available. The Springfield Figure Skating Club has an active role at the rink with test sessions, competitions and an annual ice show.
