Police Explorers
Post 327

In partnership with Boy Scouts of America, the Explorer Program provides young men and women the opportunity to study the field of law enforcement and community service first-hand. The Explorer Program is a career development program, which emphasizes academic study, character development, and self-discipline. Explorers also assist police and park district personnel at functions where they may be called upon for a variety of tasks, such as distributing information, fingerprinting children, or assisting in searches of missing children, just to name a few. Each year, the Explorers contribute approximately 1,000 volunteer hours towards helping there community and assisting the Park Police Department and the Springfield Park District.
