Eisenhower Aquatic Center offers two indoor heated pools available for year round fun and fitness. Underwater lights and observation windows makes the Eisenhower Aquatic Facility ideal for education and competitive purposes. The Aquatic Center offers a 25 yard six lane multipurpose pool and a separate diving well with two “one-meter” (low) diving boards.

Aqua Aerobic Classes
Eisenhower Aquatic Center offers Aqua Aerobic classes designed to improve cardiovascular conditioning, stretching and muscle toning. Classes will be instructed by Normajean Sanders, an experienced instructor of 16 years. Classes meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Lap Swim
Lap swimming is available at Eisenhower pool all year. Times will vary based on season and home swim meets. Please call before visiting the pool to check the schedule.

Lap Swim Etiquette

• Swimmers must share lanes. Lifeguards will help make lane adjustments to accommodate everyone.
• Lap swimmers are expected to circle swim when there are more than two swimmers per lap lane. Always swim on the right side of the lane.
• When circle swimming let the other swimmer know upon entering the pool that you are sharing the lane as to avoid collisions. Wait until they have turned and pushed off before entering the water.
• When passing, tap the foot of the swimmer ahead of you indicating you wish to pass. If you are being overtaken at the turn, stop, and wait until the other swimmer has pushed off.
• Swim complete laps to avoid confusion with other swimmer.
• When resting on the wall, please move to the outward corners of the lane to allow other swimmer room to easily turn off the wall.
• Please be courteous and responsive if you are asked to move lanes by the lifeguards. The lifeguard on duty will have the final say in arrangement of lanes.
• For the safety and comfort of lap swimmers, lap swimming is available for patrons 18 years of age and older.
• The park district reserves the right to make additions and/or alterations to these rules when deemed necessary for the health and safety of all.

Learn to Swim Program
Eisenhower Aquatic Center offers a great opportunity for children and adults to learn how to swim. Participants can choose from three different learning environments:

• private lessons - one student per instructor; minimum participant age two
• semi-private lessons - three students per instructor; minimum participant age 3
• group lessons - five students per instructor; minimum participant age five

Locker Fee
Lockers are available at the Eisenhower Aquatic Center for your convenience. Lockers may be rented on a monthly or yearly basis. Locker rental rates are as follows:

Masters Swim Team
Springfield U.S.A swim team also offer swim instruction for adult swimmer as well. Both new swimmers looking for a great aerobic workout and competitive swimmers looking to improve stroke techniques will benefit from the master swim program. Public Swim / Family Swim
The pool is available for public swimming at the following times. Family swim may be cancelled periodically due to home swim meets. Please call 217-525-8847 ahead to check weekly schedule. Concession tables may be reserved for $20 per table. Please call ahead for a reservation.

Youth Swim Team
If you are an aspiring competitive swimmer, the Springfield Park District and the SUSA Booster Club offer a professionally coached competitive swim team program.
