The Nelson Center is the Park District’s largest recreation facility located on the North side of Springfield in the beautiful 88 acre Lincoln Park. The Nelson Recreation Center contains an outdoor swimming pool, 2 indoor ice rinks, a large banquet hall with a full service attached kitchen, multiple concession areas and multiple locker rooms. The Nelson Center is a hub for activities, special events and programs for the community including summer day camps, swim lessons, ice skating lessons, fencing, and much more.
