Early Childhood

The Washington Park Pavilion Preschool offers a flexible, play-based program designed to support every child's intellectual, emotional, and social development. Guided by the Illinois Early Childhood Learning Standards, our professional staff fosters a love of learning through activities that nurture individual interests, refine motor skills, and prepare children for Kindergarten. 

Our program is perfect for families and guardians with busy schedules, including grandparents or those who travel frequently. You can sign up on a month-to-month basis, with a the option to pause for a month as needed. We welcome children to join at any time during the sessions, depending on availability.

In our warm and inviting classrooms, children explore, solve problems, and grow their understanding of themselves, others, and the world around them. With an emphasis on embracing natural surroundings and discovering new wonders, our preschool provides a solid foundation for lifelong learning at a place that works for your family.

This program offers a unique, play-based, environment where parents and children can be interactively engaged in the wonderful world of learning. The foundation of the innovative Funshop experience is a firm belief that guardians are not only a child's first teacher, but also their most trusted and influential role model. 

There are a ton of tantalizing toys and interest areas that will capture your children's imagination, strengthen their communication skills, exercise their decision-making skills, and enhance their sensory motor skills. One adult, parent, relative, or caregiver must accompany each child to every class.
