SPRINGFIELD PARK DISTRICT POLICE DEPARTMENT DONATES GIFTS TO SPECIAL NEEDS WINTER CAMP
[Springfield, IL] -The Springfield Park District is excited to announce that the Springfield Park District Police Department is partnering with the Special Recreation Department this holiday season by becoming Santa’s helpers.
The Springfield Park District Police Department will be donating presents for Santa to pass out to the Special Needs Winter Camp children at 1:00 p.m. on December 23, 2021 at Erin’s Pavilion. This is a great opportunity for the children to not only meet Santa Claus and capture a photo with him but to also meet and greet with the Springfield Park District Police Department. In many instances, this is the children’s first time speaking with the Springfield Park District Police Department. These interactions provide valuable educational opportunities the Springfield Park District is excited to announce that the Springfield Park District Police Department is partnering with the Special Recreation Department this holiday season by becoming Santa’s helpers.
