SPRINGFIELD PARK DISTRICT RECEIVES $1,000,000 DONATION FROM THE BETTY SMITH ESTATE
[Springfield, IL] – The Springfield Park District is the proud recipient of a generous $1 Million gift from the Betty Smith Estate. This significant donation will be used to construct a pump track at Comer Cox Park, programming at the park, as well as ongoing operational costs.
“We understand the beauty, fun, and sense of community that our parks and recreation bring to Springfield. The Smith Family is pleased to be part of this to benefit the entire community through the Springfield Park District.” States Dale Smith.
