SPRINGFIELD PARK DISTRICT HOSTS MONTHLY MOVIES IN THE PARK SERIES FOR 2023 – FRIDAY’S MOVIE LINEUP
[Springfield, IL] – The Springfield Park District is excited to announce August’s first Movies in the Park Friday, August 4th at Gietl Park outside of Veterans Memorial Pool. Grab your friends, children, blankets, and join us for a FREE movie in the park!
In conjunction with Capitol Radio Group, the Springfield Park District is excited to be able to present this series each summer. These events are made possible by the following sponsors: Mike Williams Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Sewer, Molina Healthcare, Teamsters Local 916, NPR Illinois, SCHEELS, TROXELL, Masco Packing and Industrial Supply, My Friends Discovery Center, Heartland Coca Cola Bottling Company, and Springfieldmoms.org.
Friday’s movie will be “Encanto” so come out and enjoy this great feature in the setting of Gietl Park. Come out before the show and enjoy public swim from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Pool. Admission will be FREE!
Movies in the Park is a free program where families and the entire community are invited to join us as we bring a big screen movie to your community parks on Fridays. Movies’s begin at dusk. These are truly great events.
The final Movies in the Park will be on Friday, August 25th at the Henson Robinson Zoo! Hope to see you there!
