SPRINGFIELD PARK DISTRICT ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTOR OF
RECREATION AND MARKETING
[SPRINGFIELD,IL] – The Springfield Park District is excited to announce Angie Whisnant as the new Director of Recreation and Marketing. Whisnant has recently been the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Brooksville in Brooksville Florida.
“Angie is an experienced and respected leader in the field of Parks and Recreation, I am confident she will do an excellent job serving the residents of our community.” – states Executive Director, Derek Harms.
Whinsnant earned a Master of Science degree in public administration and policy analysis from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. She brings over 20 years of professional experience in the field of Parks and Recreation to her new role. Whisnant will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Recreation and Marketing Department including the delivery of outstanding recreation programs and services to our community.
